style is inclusive with selecting the appropriate scent to wear, top & bottom to wear, shoes to wear, belt, accessories, hairstyle choice, skincare, etc.

anyone that is aware of fashion would know, fashion changes often, as the old expires; style remains.

a true retro or vintage gentleman has usually established a certain image of himself to the world. when he is seen, he is expected to look within the realm of fashion in which he has established for himself.

gentlemen never completely shift presentations once they are established. this does not indicate that gentlemen do not sample new trends. this means the true gentlemen is providing extra or new seasoning [more swag] to a known dish [his style].​

trends can be viewed as leaves on a branch, some are colored differently but they all come from the same branch. 

in relation to time and looks, style represents the template and trends are the customization to those templates.

while the retro or vintage gentleman stays true to classic looks to remain stylish, formed trends can still be joined by the true gentleman while not detouring his stamped look. 

trends ask that the participating often purchase items because of current popularity. this is ideally normal. however, a gentlemen's choice of purchase for wardrobe should always be sourced from style and not heavily sourced from trends.
